Nic served as an enlisted firefighter/medic in the U.S. Air Force. He was stationed in Kadena AFB in Okinawa, Japan from 2004 to 2006, Colombia Aipay Air Base in 2006 and Pope AFm in Fayetteville, NC from 2007 - 2008.

Born in Missoula, Montana, he grew up in Arlee—a small town on the Flathead Indian Reservation with limited opportunities. His graduating class barely hit triple digits. He played sports but grew up fast, eventually living with his grandparents when things got tough at home.
Following his grandmother's guidance as a U.S. Army veteran, he enlisted during junior year of high school. He served six years as a combat medic, including a 2015 deployment to Kabul, Afghanistan, where he worked with a personal security team supporting the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. There, he met architects, engineers, and developers who mentored him and sparked his interest in real estate and construction.
He started in insurance, then launched a property management company to learn the industry from the inside while mapping out his own investment strategy.

Mass Timber Group is founded by Nic Wilson and Brady Potts in Missoula, Montana and is 100% bootstrapped with 100% ownership by both founders.
