Choosing by Advantages is a transparent, collaborative, and Lean framework for making sound decisions by focusing on the positive differences (advantages) between the alternatives. KPFF has been leveraging this framework to help owners, developers, and other stakeholders evaluate alternative structural systems and identify important attributes of mass timber systems that align with the owner's values. This process has allowed our teams to clarify what really matters to the client and has allowed mass timber systems to compete with other structural systems when comparing advantages.
