Julian Lineham has a truly holistic view of how to put all aspects of a building together and is passionate about high-end design and solving complex challenges. His breadth and depth of expertise in technologies and strategies used around the world make his work unconventional and exciting.
Julian moved to Colorado from London, England in 1997 and immediately began developing relationships with leading architects readily sharing his passion for architecture and his expertise in global, bespoke structural design. Julian’s extensive and diverse experience includes work on a wide range of building ages, sizes, types and forms. He uses both traditional structural materials (like steel, concrete, mass timber, and masonry), as well as non-traditional materials (aluminum, stainless steel, cast and wrought iron, composites, and straw bale) and enjoys combining structural systems in innovative ways to solve multiple problems. Julian and Studio NYL have been involved in over 20 mass timber projects around the USA.
Julian is licensed in 39 states and the District of Columbia. He was elevated to a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers in 2017. He was elevated to a Fellow of both SEI and ASCE in 2018.
