Shari Steber is the Founder of Timber Pro Coatings, a Portland-based company specializing in high-performance, environmentally responsible wood and masonry finishes. With over 30 years of experience in the coatings industry, Shari and her husband launched Timber Pro Coatings in 1996 to pioneer sustainable, plant-oil-based wood stains that deliver exceptional durability without compromising environmental values. Over the years Shari has researched and studied every aspect of wood stain chemistry, weathering issues, wood species and how they differ, and shared her knowledge with contractors, developers and architects and is an excellent problem solver and resource for the mass timber industry in regard to wood protection and stabilization.

Under her leadership, the company pioneered the development of several industry-first innovations, including low-VOC, waterborne oil-based stains, and other supporting coatings all of which are green and sustainable.
